1927 NSDAP Gut
Ziel Shooting Club Banner

Gut Ziel, translates as "good
goal," a common motto with German shooting clubs all over
Germany. This fancy little banner does not have a city name.
Obverse fabric is a green-brown velvet with hand embroidered
oak leaves and acorns, in the center is a 9 cm three color painted
leather bulls eye with the letters GZ that stands for the motto.
The reverse fabric is a golden orange silk with black hand embroidered
swastika and lettering which reads "shooting club, good
goal, 1927." The banner is piped with gold bullion and has
5 cm gold bullion fringe on the bottom and a heavy 25 cm brass
pole and finial at the top held by six gold cloth emboidered
loops. The silk is fraying below the swastika showing the matching
supporting fabric, very early and rare small National Socialist
shooting club flag, overall moderate wear.
